Patty has been studying dance since the age of 8. Ballet was her 1st love, but she also studied Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Tap and Musical Theater.
She began teaching in LA county as a young adult. Patty performed with a Jazz company and was involved in many Musical Theater productions.
She opened Starlight Dance Center in 1996 and has enjoyed watching it grow over the years. She is passionate about what she does and her caring nature has let Starlight grow into a place where many others can share that passion.
 
"My goal is to give students an opportunity to find their gifts in dance, to gain confidence and body/health awareness.  To give them an opportunity to show what they learn and feel good about their accomplishments.  To appreciate music and the art of dance and movement.  
 
I have 2 wonderful daughters who are both beautiful dancers, of whom I am very proud.

Lisa began studying dance at age 18 at the College of the Desert.  She studied Ballet and Jazz as well as performing in many Musical Theater Productions.  Under the mentorship of Michele Gaines, she learned the ends and outs of the theater from choreography, to set design, to assistant directing, to stage managing.  Lisa has one a Desert Theater League award for “Best Dancer in a Musical.”

Favorite Role performed:  “Larry” form “A Chorus Line”  or  Mimi  from  “Caberet”

Tracey began teaching at Starlight in 2005.  she grew up here in the Coachella Valley and started teaching at age 3, taking classes in Ballet and Tap.  As she got older her love for dance grew and she began studying Jazz, Modern and Lyrical styles of dance.  She taught at various local dance studios and travelled all over Southern California taking classes at any dance studio she could find.  While in High School, she was introduced to Hip Hop.  She fell in love all over again. At age 17 she travelled all over the state with the United Spirit Association dance/song team, teaching at camps for cheer and dance teams.  Tracey is a certified personal trainer and works as a medical assistant along with her teaching.  Tracey is a proud mother of an 8 yr old daughter named Sydney (who also loves dance)

Mary Rodgers began her love affair with dance at three years old.  By the time she was nine, she did her first professional ballet gig with the New York City Ballet.  At 13 she started touting the US, Canada and eventually the world with The American Folk Ballet.  She also played Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe and other exciting venues.
After doing numerous television and movie credits, she also began teaching and choreographing.  Recently, she also appeared in Branson, Missouri and Nevada with numerous shows.
She continues her passion now teaching at Starlight Dance Center for the past 4 years.  Dance gives her spirit wings.

Lacey has been dancing since she was two years old. She began to cheer at age 11. Dance has always been a joy for her. She moved to the desert 2 years ago from Washingon and is greatful to have the opportunitiy to teach at this wonderful studio, Starlight Dance Center. She is currently a Spanish Teacher at La Quinta Middle School where she also coaches the cheer squad. Lacey teaches Tap and Hip Hop here at Starlight dance center.

Cori has studied all forms of dance and competed with her High School Varsity Dance Team.  She has been teaching for Starlight Dance Center for 4 years in Hip Hop and Jazz and cheer.  She has coached our Studio dance teams in competitions and parades.  Cori loves dance with a passion and enjoys sharing her passion with her students.

Marguerite became interested in ballroom dancing in the mid-eighties when
she moved to the desert. She studied for the next 10 years and competed in
17 competitions. She then joined Starlight Dance Center and has been
teaching here ever since.

Shana Eggers

Instructor: Hip Hop

Shana has been studying dance since the age of 5. She has studied jazz, hip hop, salsa and ballet, but her passion is teaching Hip Hop. She has been teaching Hip Hop at Starlight for 3 years and absolutely loves teaching kids and teens how to “Pop.”  Shana is a proud wife and mother of 2-year old daughter named Alyssa.
